Carla Bonvillain, RN joined The Carpenter Health Network in 2010 and serves as Vice President of Program Compliance. Responsible for the development and the structure of specialty programs, as well as oversight of the organization’s legal, billing and human resources operations, Carla also works closely with the Executive Management team on strategic planning.
Responsible for the leadership, oversight, and implementation of the compliance and performance improvement activities, as well as, quality management and development, Carla leads the Compliance Department in implementing programs to ensure attainment of continuous quality improvement in line with the strategic business plan for growth and sustained viability for all of the inpatient and outpatient services offered by The Carpenter Health Network.
Carla ensures compliance with all current regulations and industry standards, with a focus on continuous performance improvement and quality assurance measures throughout the company. She takes a proactive approach to compliance and risk management through the development of programs focused on identifying trends and implementing performance improvement measures which are evaluated on a continual basis. The Compliance Department allows for consistency and scalability as new markets are acquired and additional specialty programs are developed.
A graduate of the Charity Hospital School of Nursing in New Orleans, she served as a staff nurse and head nurse in the Surgical and Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Charity Hospital for over eight years where she was responsible for direct patient care delivery and operations management. She also served as Director of Nursing, Regional Director, Administrator and Vice President of Clinical Services for a professional recruitment firm specializing in the placement of registered nurses and healthcare management professionals throughout the United States.
